Ceuta
The number of unaccompanied foreign minors hosted in Ceuta has dropped to 169, more than three times less than in March 2020, when the coronavirus disease pandemic was declared, at which time it stood at 590, thanks to the change of the Tarajal border management model and the solidarity referral mechanisms between autonomies implemented in recent years.

According to the data to which Europa Press has had access, there are currently 75 Moroccan adolescents housed in the La Esperanza Temporary Relocation Center who are directly cared for by the local administration. The SAMU Foundation assists another 37 in the basement of the same facility and 21 more in the ‘Triana’ and ‘Aljarafe’ shelters set up in Piniers after the migration crisis of May 2021 that left more than a thousand children in the autonomous city homeless lonely migrants.
The rest are divided between the Punta Blanca Reform Center and other facilities reserved for profiles with special vulnerability.

The Civil Guard has intercepted this Friday early in the morning on the Algecires beach of Getares four men and a girl who were sheltered in the public resources of Ceuta and who managed to cross the Strait of Gibraltar aboard a motorized boat, according to police sources.
