Two accidents in the southern crown of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area are complicating the return of drivers this Sunday on a weekend marked by spring weather that has caused the number of vehicles circulating on Catalan roads to increase considerably.
The most spectacular of these occurred on the AP-7 at Sant Sadurní d’Anoia and towards Barcelona, in a multiple accident that has caused up to 23 kilometers of congestion and delays, the queue reaching Santa Margarida i els Monjos .
To all this is added circulation with co-management at other points on that same highway. In Vendrell there are also 7 kilometers of slowness and stoppages, as in the extreme south in Ulldecona – 4 kilometers of traffic jams-, and on the north slope, between Sant Celoni and La Roca del Vallès, traffic is slow and with stoppages for 7 km.
On the other hand, a second accident on the C-32 near Sant Pere de Ribes has forced a lane to be cut and also causes delays for 4 kilometers towards Barcelona.
Congestion in the accesses to Barcelona
On the B-20 there are retentions between Badalona and the Nus de la Trinitat. Similarly, on the C-58 there are 2 kilometers of traffic jams between Montcada and Barcelona, on the Maresme motorway there are also traffic jams between Premià de Dalt and Badalona, and on the C-33 there are 6 kilometers of traffic jams between La Llagosta and Montcada.
