The Mexican authorities found the four Americans kidnapped last Friday in the Mexican border city of Matamoros, in the northern state of Tamaulipas, two of them dead and another wounded, state governor Américo Villarreal reported Tuesday.
The president expressed his condolences to the family and relatives of US citizens. “We are very sorry that this is happening in our country and we send our condolences to the families of the victims, to the friends, to the people of the United States, to the Government of the United States and we are going to continue doing our job,” said the Mexican president.
López Obrador also assured that the Mexican authorities will continue working to guarantee security in the country, especially in the north. “We’re going to keep doing our job,” he said.
